The kids love it here because it feels like their playing outdoor -- something we never got to do it the old apartment.
Hubby also set-up a table here with some of my daddy's mono-block chairs so this is also becoming a favorite work space until he's done with the home office set-up inside the house.
Our new house is relatively smaller than our previous apartment and right now, we're trying to figure out how we can fit everything in. We probably needs to dispose a lot but we haven't decided. The kids are especially not happy with the idea of giving their toys away, no matter how old they are.
Speaking of toys, I never imagine that in just 5 years, we've accumulated quite a lot of them for the 2 kids. We regularly clean their toys and give away or donate old ones as a way to keep things within reasonable number but I guess, you can never really tell how much you have until everything had to be packed...I'm still convincing the little ones to just donate a box or two to save us the trouble of unpacking them but none would agree. I think it would take some creativity to convince the 2.
Our first week
Night time was especially difficult for the Little Guy who was asking to go home to sleep. Hubby and I also had difficulty sleeping. I was waking up every hour while the Hubby wasn't able to fall as sleep until dawn.
First day at school and work was also a mess for everyone. We're a family of habit and routine so it was a shaky start for us in this new step-up.
Fortunately, everything started to fall into its place by mid-week and by Saturday, we were able to relax and enjoy the new house.
